The Angelina College Friday Night Lights Scholarship Giveaway provides students with the chance to win a semester’s worth of tuition and fees at Angelina College. This opportunity is available at Lufkin High School home football games, where participants can sign up at a dedicated booth. On August 30, Jessica Mark was announced as the scholarship winner, and on September 9, Lamarren Lacy also received the scholarship.
For the first time, the initiative will also be featured at the Huntington High School homecoming game on September 20 and the Diboll High School homecoming on October 4, offering more students a chance to win.
By offering this opportunity at local events, we aim to foster a greater sense of community support and engagement, ensuring that more students have the chance to benefit from higher education right here in our community. Attendees at these games can sign up and either use the scholarship themselves or gift it to someone else who may need it. Angelina College athletes are also present at these events, engaging with students and helping to award the scholarships, further strengthening the bond between education and community spirit.
