Angelina College Presents “Charlotte’s Web”

Angelina College’s Theater Department is excited to present Charlotte’s Web, a beloved tale of friendship, loyalty, and the magic of life on the farm. Join us for a delightful performance as our talented cast brings this heartwarming story to life on stage.

Student Spotlights:

 

Jordan Faye Boisdrenghien

Playing the role of Charlotte, Jordan, 19, hails from Hot Springs, Arkansas, and graduated from Lufkin High School. She brings a wealth of experience in both theater and children’s events, from portraying the Wicked Witch of Oz to Cinderella and Anna from Frozen. Jordan’s favorite part of this production is getting to soar in a harness like a real spider. “I love bouncing and jumping in the air; it makes me feel like a real Charlotte,” she says. In addition to acting, Jordan is an artist involved in technical theater, painting, and choir. She loves Angelina College for the supportive environment fostered by her teachers, stating, “They make me feel welcome, and I’ve made great relationships with them as a student.”

 

 


 

Devyn Hines

Portraying the lead role of Wilbur, Devyn, 22, from Houston, also serves as the production’s choreographer. With a background that includes roles as Martin Luther King Jr. and the Grinch, he’s a Theater Arts and Music major with a scholarship from Angelina College. Devyn loves the unity and joy of working with the cast and crew, sharing, “This has been the most fun I’ve had in a musical! I love the actors, the staff, and the community!” He appreciates Angelina College for its innovative spirit, saying, “The open-mindedness that AC brings to their productions is remarkable. It isn’t often that a theater is as with the times as AC is. I’m honored to be part of such an involving, loving, and talented group of individuals.”

 

 


 

Samantha Leigh Burns

Portraying Fern Arable, Samantha, 18, is a graduate of Pineywoods Community Academy and hails from Lufkin. She enjoys connecting with her fellow cast members. “I love doing the choreography and scenes with other cast members; interacting with them really makes me feel like I am my character,” she shares. Samantha plans to earn an Associate’s in Fine Arts at Angelina College, where she also sings as a soprano in the AC choir and participates in her church’s choir. She appreciates the atmosphere of AC, saying, “I love it being local and cozy, with a campus that’s easy to navigate and faculty deeply involved in the community.” Samantha looks forward to applying the skills she’s learning in theater to both her work and personal life.

 

 


 

Trinity Blair Crocker

An 18-year-old theater major, Trinity plays Edith, Fern’s sweet yet aggravated aunt. A graduate of Chireno ISD, she felt an immediate connection with Angelina College during her campus tour, especially while visiting the theater department. Thriving in the supportive theater community, Trinity believes in the importance of making an impact on stage. She shares, “I’m so lucky to be given the role I was picked for, and I’ve learned to love my character and every scene I’m in.” Trinity appreciates the encouragement from her peers and instructors, which has inspired her growth as an artist.

 

 


 

Lachlan Stone Carnley

 

Hailing from Lufkin and a graduate of Vertical Christian Academy, 18 year-old Lachlan takes on the role of Homer Zuckerman. He is studying Music at Angelina College, drawn to its dedication to helping students excel. Lachlan enjoys learning about the theatrical process and appreciates the camaraderie among cast members. He notes, “The production has been very efficient, and everyone knows their place. We’re all on the same page!” Eager to contribute to the team, Lachlan values the supportive environment that encourages both personal and artistic growth.

 

 


 

Victoria Munoz Jacobo

 

As Stage Manager, Victoria, 18, from Lufkin, plays a key role behind the scenes, ensuring that every scene flows seamlessly behind the curtain. Victoria has built her theater experience at AC, working as Assistant Stage Manager for The Haunting of Hill House and Stage Manager for Laundry and Bourbon. She appreciates the supportive atmosphere of Angelina College, saying, “The directors and faculty truly go above and beyond, and the small campus makes everyone feel like family.” Dedicated to a career in theater, Victoria finds AC’s close-knit community and guidance invaluable as she pursues her passion.

 

 


 

Carson Ried Wojasinski

 

At 22, Carson is a Theatre Arts major from Lufkin, taking the stage as The Gander while also serving as the Sound Designer. A graduate of Lufkin High School, he loves the opportunity to embrace over-the-top performances in this children’s production. Carson aims to become a professional actor and voice actor after college, stating, “This production has been fun, and everyone involved is very talented.” He appreciates the strong theater program at Angelina College, which provides invaluable experiences and support for aspiring performers.
