A pair of Angelina College Lady Roadrunner softball players made some big noise in 2024, with Skyler Martin and Riley Davila each earning 1st Team All-Conference honors in Region XIV’s postseason superlatives.

Both also finished with 2nd Team All-Region nods.

Martin, the sophomore from Diboll, Texas, led the Lady Roadrunners in homers (10), doubles (14) and RBI (62) while finishing second in slugging percentage (.628).

Freshman Davila, from Angleton, Texas, was the offensive catalyst while batting from the leadoff spot. She earned a conference Player of the Week early in the season with a torrid five-game stretch in which she went 17-24 at the plate for an astronomical .708 batting average, 12 runs scored, five RBI, three triples and a double.

Davila in 2024 led the team in hitting (.418) and on-base percentage (.493) while scoring 57 runs and driving in another 35. Davila finished in the nation’s Top 50 in stolen bases, finishing the year with 35 swipes.
