Dr. Debra K Burton is a LicensedProfessional Counselor-Supervisor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, anda National Certified Counselor. She is also a trained EMDR therapist andDBT therapist. Dr. Burton has been in private practice for over 35 yearsin Lufkin at the Counseling Center of East Texas, PLLC. She has alsoserved as an adjunct instructor for the graduate counseling program at StephenF. Austin State University. Dr. Burton’s expertise is in the area of lossand severe trauma. She also serves on a crisis debriefing team for firstresponders and has provided crisis debriefing to businesses when a severecrisis has occurred. Dr. Burton describes her professional goal as“helping individuals heal from the emotional, mental, and physical impact oftrauma, so they lead productive and fulfilling lives.”
