Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon takes you back to 1962 Baltimore, as 16-year old Tracy Turnblad sets out to dance her way onto TV’s most popular show. Can a big girl with big dreams – and even bigger hair! – change the world…and still have time to win the boy she loves? This mega-hit is piled bouffant-high with laughter and romance. It’s an eye-catching, toe-tapping sing-along kind of show, part Grease and part Bye-Bye Birdie.

Hairspray is the winner of eight 2003 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The show played six years on Broadway and is still serving up huge helpings of energetic songs, colorful sets, and good vibes that leave you smiling long after you leave the theater. It might even renew your hope in the good old-fashioned American musical.

Hairspray is a great big, candy-colored treat of an excuse to sing and dance to a 60’s beat! Tickets go on sale Thursday, Feb. 11 at the Temple Theater box office. Call soon for the best seat selection -- 936-633-5454.
