POSITION: Full-Time Teaching Position in Associate Degree Nursing Program (Pedi)

EMPLOYMENT DATE: Spring 2010

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum required: (1) current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in State of Texas; (2) Masters Degree in Nursing; (3) three years clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing required with pedi background preferred. Previous teaching experience in ADN nursing program preferred. Excellent English communication skills required. Ability to work with Blackboard and on-line testing preferred. Must possess the ability to interact with a diverse student population.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Be responsible for preparing, teaching and evaluating the prescribed courses in the classroom, laboratory or clinical setting. Teach an additional 6 weeks in summer at the direction of the Program Coordinator or Division Director. Perform other duties and responsibilities required of all full-time faculty members as outlined in the Angelina College Policies and Procedures Manual. The instructor is administratively responsible and accountable to the nursing programs coordinator.

CONTRACT& SALARY: Competitive salary based on Angelina College Salary Schedule, in addition to excellent employee benefits. Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for successful candidate.
