WHAT IS AN ADULT EDUCATION COOPERATIVE?

The Angelina College Adult Education Cooperative is a group of adult learning centers which provide the guidance of qualified instructors to assist adults in obtaining knowledge and improving skills. The centers offer a relaxed, informal learning environment with friendly, caring instruction. We have available, computer assisted instruction to address various learning styles. Our instructors will assist you in reaching the goals you have set and we will make every effort to remove any barriers to participation.

WHO CAN USE THE CENTERS?

Anyone with a desire to:

• Obtain a higher education
• Improve job skills
• Better your chance for career advancement
• Gain self-satisfaction
• Increase life skills
• Strengthen your ability to help your children with homework

HOW IS THIS DONE?

We offer a variety of programs to assist you in meeting your goals:

• GED Preparation (High School Equivalency Exam) - More GED information
• English as a Second Language (ESL)
• Reading, Writing and Math improvement (ABE)
• Citizenship/Civics (EL-Civics)

WHAT IS THE COST?

It costs you NOTHING!
